The Easton Senior Happy Days Club will be meeting Thursday, June 26, at 11:30 a.m. for a potluck dinner. The speaker will be Diana Nadeau from the RSVP Program.
All Easton seniors are invited to attend and bring a friend for delicious dinners and interesting afternoons. The meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 10, is canceled due to the busy Easton Field Days.
Easton alumni news
Easton Alumni Committee invites you to take a look at their new link which can be accessed through the Easton Jr./Sr. High website. Items available for viewing include the 2014 alumni newsletter, scholarship balances and donations, as well as previous scholarship recipients.
School registration
The Easton School Department is now accepting registration for children entering kindergarten or ECP in the fall of 2014. Please call the Easton Elementary School at 488-7700 as soon as possible to register your child for either of the above classes. The following documents are required by the state of Maine: proof of immunizations, birth certificate (hospital copies are not acceptable) and proof of residency (rental agreement, utility bill, etc). These documents must be presented prior to the child beginning school.
Summer programs
The Easton Recreation Department is accepting registrations for all summer programs. For more information please contact the Recreation Department by emailing recreation@eastonme.com or call 551-7737. Summer program books can be picked up at the Easton Town Office.
Art Camp
Easton Rec will be offering a 3-D Art Camp from June 30-July 3 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Hall. The cost is $15. Open to grades one and up. Participants will be making masks, sculptures, shadow boxes and mobiles.
Kayak Camp
Easton Rec will be offering a Kayak Camp from June 30-July 3 starting at the Hall at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $30. Open to grades five and up.

Wednesday, June 25 — Cooking Camp 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Hall. Baton Camp at the Hall from 2-3 p.m. Major League games at home at 5:30 p.m. (vs. Washburn).
Thursday, June 26 — Cooking Camp 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Hall. Final Baton Camp at the Hall from 2-3p.m. First Minor League game in Fort Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. Parents are responsible for transportation. T-shirts will be distributed.
Friday, June 27 — Final Cooking Camp 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Hall. Senior Meal at the Hall (served by the kids) starting at 11:15 a.m. Donations accepted.
Sunday, June 29 — Softball games: 3 p.m., DFI/RDC vs. West Ridge Farms; 4 p.m., BDI vs. Sargents; 5 p.m., BHP Transport vs. Village People; and 6 p.m., Heidi’s Hope vs. BHP Transport.
Monday, June 30 — Art Camp 9 a.m. until noon at the Hall. Registration is still available. The cost is $15.
Kayak Camp departing from the Hall starting at 12:30 p.m. Registration is still available. The cost is $30.
Major League baseball in Easton vs. Mars Hill. Please be there no later than 5:10 p.m.
