What a gorgeous weekend … summer has finally arrived in The County. We are wishing everyone a Happy Fourth of July weekend with friends, family and of course GOLF!
This past Sunday was the Pairs and Spares Golf. On Sunday, June 29, the winning team was Stu Kelley, Deb Porter, Ted Pettengill and Carol Blood with a sweet four under par; second place, with under 2, was the team of Terry Pettengill, Becky Kelley, Peter Blood, John Porter and Ola Tucker; and third place was Greg Douglas, Greg Gayne, Val Powers and Di Tucker, who came in at one under par. Come join the fun … $5 entry. Play starts at 3 p.m. every Sunday.
Don’t forget this Thursday’s Good Times Golf at 5:30 p.m. Sign up or call by 5:15 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee. Pete Lawlor was the winner this past Thursday with a 24 on this points game tourney!
There will be no Saturday Scramble this weekend. Enjoy your fabulous holiday weekend!
Our annual Flag Day Tournament will be this Friday, July 4th. This can be played any time before 3 p.m. You can set up your own pairing for the event. Each player is given a flag and when he or she reaches their target score, the flag is placed on the ground where their ball lies. The target score is 72 plus whatever your handicap is. The cost is $10 per person.
