LUDLOW & TITUSVILLE, FL – Russell E. Dillon, age 59 of Ludlow, ME, passed unexpectedly on Monday, June 2, 2014 in Titusville, FL. He was a delightful person with many stories to share. He was passionate about firearms and the right to bear them. He also loved hunting and fishing.
He worked at Smith & Wesson as a Product Engineer from 2010 and was looking forward to beginning a new job at Knight Enterprises in Titusville, FL as a Production Engineer Manager. He was a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge Monument #96 of Houlton, ME, the Gun Club of Houlton, ME, and First Church of Houlton, Unitarian Universalist. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, and was a resident of CT for most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Pizzoferrato) Dillon, of Ludlow; his father and mother, Donald Dillon and Barbara (Russell) Dillon of Colebrook, CT; brothers, Donald Dillon, II of Appleton, NY, David Dillon of Litchfield, CT, Aaron Dillon and his wife, Susan Dillon, of Folkston, GA; and a sister, Beth Cadarr and her husband, Gary Cadarr, of Colebrook, CT. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the outpouring of love, kindness and support from family and friends, the Unitarian Universalist church community, and the Smith & Wesson community.
