     EATON, Dale M., 72, CHAPMAN, at Presque Isle, July 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Mapleton Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    CHAPMAN – Dale M. Eaton, 72, passed away following a long illness on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. He was born on April 22, 1942, the son of Percy and Arlene (Fillmore) Eaton.
  American Flag Color  He graduated from Mapleton High School, and attended the University of Maine at Orono and the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
    Dale served in the U.S. Army in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. He was an active member of the American Legion, and DAV. He worked as a carpenter for many years, and most recently drove veterans to their appointments at the Togus VA Center.
    He is survived by his companion of five years, Margaret Twohey whom he met 50 years ago in Germany; a sister, Beverly Shulenburg and her husband, Mark of Greenfield, MA; many beloved nieces and nephews, grand- nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Darlene Casher; and two brothers, Dana and Wayne Eaton.
    Friends may call noon until 1 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Mapleton Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., with Rev. James Ackerson officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. Donations may be made in his memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
