Bishop Deeley announces priest assignments

    PORTLAND, Maine — Bishop Robert P. Deeley has announced the following priest assignments.

Effective July 1, Fr. Kyle L. Doustou has been appointed parochial vicar for the Parish of the Precious Blood (Holy Rosary Church, Caribou; Nativity of the Blessed Mary Church, Presque Isle; Our Lady of the Lake Church, Portage; Sacred Heart Church, Caribou; St. Catherine Church, Washburn; St. Denis Church, Fort Fairfield; St. Joseph Church, Mars Hill; St. Louis Church, Limestone; St. Mark Church, Ashland; and St. Theresa Church, Stockholm).
A native of Lewiston, Fr. Doustou was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Deeley at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul in Lewiston on May 30, 2014.
In addition, Fr. Joseph E. Daniels has been appointed pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Farmington and St. Rose of Lima Parish in Jay. Since his ordination on Aug. 23, 1990, Fr. Daniels served in Presque Isle.
Also, effective July 1, Fr. Thomas Lequin, SJ, is retiring from 36 years of active ministry. Fr. Lequin served in many areas of the state, including time at parishes in Presque Isle and Mars Hill. He also ministered to students at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute.
