SHERMAN – Barbara E. Harris, 91, Sherman, passed away July 25, 2014 in Millinocket. She was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Sherman, the daughter of Ray and Emily (Sides) Ingraham.
Before returning to Sherman in 2007 she resided in Milan, Ohio for 60 years. She was a devoted member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church of Norwalk, Ohio and a member of the Washburn Memorial Church in Sherman. She proudly served as a dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol for 22 years before retiring in 1988. She belonged to several clubs and was an avid traveler, covering both foreign and domestic soil.
She is survived by two brothers and their wives, Carl and Estelle Ingraham of Huron, Ohio and Lawrence and Adele Ingraham of Benicia, Calif.; her nieces and nephews, Clayton and Elizabeth O’Roak of Orrington, Rebecca and Tom Guiggey of Sherman, Paul and Debra O’Roak of Sherman, Jymme O’Roak of Hudson, Holly McNally of Sherman, Wade and Debra L. O’Roak of Sherman and Wendy and Rodney Anderson of Patten, David, Steven and Carla and Cindy Ingraham, all of Ohio; many cousins, great-nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by parents and her sister, Joan O’Roak. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Doreen Leach, Karen McGraw, Holly McNally, Breanna Cullen and Sue Anderson for their love and devotion to Barbara.
