Griffeth Ford top seed in men’s softball

The playoff tournament in the Caribou-Presque Isle Men’s Softball League is slated for this weekend.
Caribou will host Saturday’s early-round action before the venue switches over to Presque Isle for Sunday’s games, including the championship.
The regular season began in late-May and comes to an end this week. On Tuesday’s scheduled slate in Caribou, County Boys took on Griffeth Ford at 6 p.m., Gilman Electric played County Boys at 7 p.m., Buck Construction met T.W. Willard at 8 p.m. and Buck Construction squared off against Griffeth Ford at 9 p.m.
Thursday, Sports Inn/Harvest Market plays Buck Construction in Presque Isle at 6 p.m.
Make-up games, if necessary, will be played Thursday.
Recent scores of games are as follows: July 22, T.W. Willard 15, Buck Construction 6; Buck Construction 19,  Sports Inn/Harvest Market 8; and T.W. Willard 13, Sports Inn/Harvest Market 5; July 24, Buck Construction 22, Gilman Electric 15; County Boys 20, Gilman Electric 3; County Boys 17, Buck Construction 10; Griffeth Ford 11, T.W. Willard 8; and Griffeth Ford 22, Sports Inn/Harvest Market 2.
Men’s softball league standings as of July 25 are as follows: Griffeth Ford (16-2), County Boys (11-7), Gilman Electric (10-9), T.W. Willard (9-10), Buck Construction (7-10) and Sports Inn/Harvest Market (2-17).
