PRESQUE ISLE — Clients of Northern Physical Therapy & Rehab Services, LLC, now have a beautiful, new facility to use at 52 Academy Street. Owner Troy Caverhill, a licensed physical therapist, said a desire to have a “space of his own” was the reason for building the facility where once stood a gas station.

“The area was re-zoned a while back, making it easier to find a use for the property. I thought it would make a great location for my business, so I took the necessary steps to make it happen,” said Caverhill. “I’d leased a space from Dr. Prasana but felt it was time to have my own facility.”
Caverhill said the move was easy, since he’s just down the street from his old space.
“I wanted to stay in close proximity to other medical offices; this location is ideal,” he said.
The building is approximately 3,500 square feet and is divided into private therapy rooms, an area for therapeutic equipment, a fitness room, office space and more.
“In addition to what we previously offered for services, we’ve added an athletic space to include Aaron Marston, who’s an athletic trainer and certified strength coach. We have six private treatment rooms, for one-on-one patient care, which includes manual therapy,” he said.
Marston is one of seven on staff, which also include office staff and therapists.
Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with most insurances accepted.
“Aaron’s services are also available, by appointment, from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the week,” said Caverhill.
NPT offers individualized care and personalized programs.
“Whether you’re a young athlete or an employee in need of therapy after a work injury, we’re here to help,” said Caverhill. “We offer hands-on care and training programs, including industrial rehab, treatment for repetitive stress injuries and more.”
Caverhill looks forward to serving the needs of County residents.
“It was time to own my own place. I chose Academy Street to build so I could stay within the medical community, making it easier for clients. This way, appointments can be made in the same vicinity, making travel plans less of a challenge. Having a business that’s all on one level also makes it easier for clients — no more elevators or stairs,” said Caverhill. “It’s all about making our clients’ lives easier.”
