Hello everyone. May you all have a special week with good health and joy. It is the time for moving. Sylvia Thompson has moved to Four Seasons as has Gail and Dan Toby with their little dog. Dear friends, enjoy your new environment. Great to know all of you. Susan Perrow of Millinocket and Susanne DeGrasse of Glenburn were Saturday callers of mine. Susanne is my niece. It was a joyous reunion.

St. Mary of the Visitation Church is anticipating a big celebration of 175 years of Catholic faith to be in October. Gini Garrett, RSVP worker, spent a day here visiting friends and relaxing. It was nice to see her. This request is from the Aroostook RSVP senior volunteer program newsletter: their yarn supply is low. Over 1,500 knitted items were donated to non-profits like the ACAP and Pregnancy Care Center but we must keep them supplied with yarn, so they may continue their knitting. Thank you.
Several apartments at Ricker Plaza are empty. If you are in need of a warm and friendly apartment, get in touch with the office.
A cheerie “hello” to all our friends in the nursing home: Evelyn Callnan, Alma Gallop, Margaret Campbell, Helen Brewer, Donna Burns, Pauline Megquier, Ken Thibodeau, Norma Bates, Mr. Richardson, Ruth McGillicuddy, Priscilla Brownlow and the list goes on. I didn’t realize there were so many. “Hello” my friends.
Bible quote: “ “He said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied, and then picked up the fragments left over 12 wicker baskets. Those who ate were about 5,000 men, not counting women and children. (Matthew 14:19-21).
RSVP tickets are being circulated. The items are 100 gallons home heating fuel, a sterling silver miniature potato basket pendant and chain, a framed Aroostook County print of fiddleheads, potato barrels, Maine Potato Growers apparel, an ash potato basket, gift certificates and potatoes. If you are contacted for tickets, please be as generous as you can.
Jeanie Hall is a patient at Houlton Regional Hospital, as is Patrick Friel. Good health is wished for both. About angels: At the moment of birth, angels gather to welcome you into the world. At the moment of death, they meet again to escort you into heaven. Have a good week and try to help a neighbor or friend in need.
