PT Mary Priscilla Nason    HODGDON – Mary “Priscilla” Nason, 85, of Hodgdon, passed away peacefully at Houlton Regional Hospital in the early morning hours of August 2, 2014, after a brief illness. Priscilla was born April 8, 1929 in Stockholm, and was the daughter of Dennis and Celine (LaGassie) Roy.
Priscilla was a woman of faith and a proud member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Houlton. She loved to laugh and she enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, reading, playing cards, quilting, making greeting cards and rocking her grandchildren. She looked forward to Tuesdays with her Ladies Lunch crew. She also had many fun times with her sisters; the more the merrier.
Priscilla worked for a time at the shoe factory. Later on, she worked alongside of her husband “Bob” and retired from Houlton International after many years. She was a wonderful wife, caring faithfully at home for her husband during his extended illness.
The legacy she leaves behind are her children and grandchildren, Spurgeon and Nancy Nason and son, Matthew of Caribou; Sandra Wallace of Houlton and her five children: Carrie, Bobbie, Jimmy, Shirley and Preston; Rodney and Debra Nason and their children: Derek, Rebecca and Morgan of East Millinocket; two great-grand-children; sister, Dinah and Elwood Tidd of Hodgdon; Richard and Sara Roy of East Millinocket; too many nieces, nephews and cousins to name and they were “all her favorites”. Priscilla was predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years, Robert J. Nason; granddaughter, Emily Rose Nason; mother; father; fourteen siblings; many brothers- and sisters-in-law; and son-in-law, James Wallace.
We celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 5 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Houlton with Father David Raymond, celebrant. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s roof fund in her memory, c/o St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Houlton, Maine 04730. The family is very grateful to the staff at Houlton Regional Hospital, especially nurses Cheryl, Janice and Lesley, as well as Pete, Barb, Tina and Rod Corey, Dinah, Elwoood, Rick Tidd and Debby and her husband, John Flewelling. We are humbled by your kindness. For online guest book and to leave messages, please visit www. bowersfuneral.com.
