HODGDON & GRAFTON, NH – Robert (Bobby) E. Merritt, 72, passed away July 15, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born on September 29, 1941, in Houlton, to Earle and Ruth (Welton) Merritt.
Bobby worked as a woodsman and a construction mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines, country music and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He was also an animal lover and adored his pets.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Smith); daughters, Sheryl and her husband, Sven Kenny; Lori and her husband, Mike Lynch; son, Robert Merritt Jr. and his wife, Tanya; eight grandchildren; sisters, Judy, Joan, Marion, Marilyn, and Connie; brothers, Douglas, Roger, and Tommy; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Millard and Richard.
Services were held on Monday, July 21 at Phaneauf Funeral Home in Manchester, NH.
