Caribou Class of 1944 reunites for luncheon

    Members of the Caribou High School Class of 1944 gathered on Aug. 15, in order to celebrate their 70th class reunion. The group met for a luncheon at the Par and Grill restaurant in Caribou.

    The Caribou High School Class of 1944 gathered at the Par and Grill in Caribou on Aug. 15, to celebrate their 70th reunion.  Those who were able to attend are, from left, John Sodegren, Phillip LeVasseur, Skip Bennett, Bob Brown, Beryl Hale, Elizabeth Beaulieu, Florence Gallagher, Thelma Morin and Carolyn Johnson.

            Elizabeth Beaulieu, chairman of the event welcomed the group, recognizing reunion committee members Beryl Hale, Thelma Morin and Florence Gallagher. A memorial service was directed by Florence Gallagher, and the classmates agreed to meeting again in Aug., 2015.
    Classmates and guests attending the 70th reunion included: Elizabeth Beaulieu, Florence Gallagher, Thelma Morin, Phillip LeVasseur, Beryl Hale, Skip and Millie Bennett, Bob and Rhoda Brown, John and Eleanor Sodergren, Carolyn Johnson and her daughter Rebecca. Those unable to attend were Rose Moses, Christine Lavway, Ruth Vetsch, June Hefner and Leatrice Vercelli.
