CARIBOU, Maine — Members of the Caribou High School Class of 1964 recently celebrated their 50th Class reunion during a weekend of reminiscing, nostalgia, and fun. The festivities began during the evening of June 20 with over 100 attending an informal get together at the home of Ronnie Moir. Classmates and guests attended a breakfast the next morning at Frederick’s Southside Restaurant followed by a tour of their old high school, which is now the Caribou Middle School.
That evening, the class and guests went to the Caribou Inn and Convention Center for a delicious buffet dinner and an evening of renewing friendships. Approximately 73 class members out of 205 classmates were present. The class adviser, Eldon Giles, and the 42 class members who are deceased were remembered.
The evening included a dinner with the invocation given by Paul Noyes, followed by a short program which included the president’s message from Terry Plante, and introduction of class members and their guests by Jane Butt, and special prizes given by Bonnie Weatherhead, Conrad Cyr, Paul Grant, David Peterson and Thomas Bouchard. A DVD movie created by Nancy Chandler of events from the 1960s and several pictures of classmates and past reunions was presented. The class was honored by the presence of faculty members including Althea Hamlin, Donna Hurley, and Dwight and Nancy Hunter.
