CARIBOU, Maine — The seventeenth annual Miss Northern Maine Pageant was held June 29 at the Caribou Performing Arts Center and showcased 24 of Maine’s most talented and confident young ladies.
The 2014 top honors were presented to: Brooke Estey of Mapleton, Miss Mini Aroostook; Sara Cassidy from Easton, Miss Mini Northern Maine; Kaitlyn Kenney of Houlton was named Miss Petite Aroostook; and Claire Ouellette of Caribou was crowned Miss Petite Northern Maine.
The title of Miss Pre-Teen Aroostook went to Rachel Ellis of Presque Isle and the high point winner was named Miss Pre-Teen Northern Maine and that went to Miranda Drost of Presque Isle. Emily Boucher of Madawaska was crowned Miss Teen Aroostook and Kimberly Cook of Presque Isle was named Miss Teen Northern Maine.
In the Miss and Ms. divisions, the titles were presented to Paige Worcester of Ft. Fairfield, Miss Aroostook and Miss Northern Maine top honors went to Sara Gilson of Presque Isle. Erica Hemphill won overall high point score and was named Ms. Northern Maine.
The title of Miss Northern Maine Hospitality 2014 was awarded to Sara Cassidy of Easton.
Winners will represent their titles throughout 2014 at various parades, charity events and local pageants. They will return in 2015 to crown their successor at the Northern Maine Pageant.
Founded in 1997 by Theresa Pelletier, the Miss Northern Maine pageant is a positive one-day pageant program for young women from Maine ages 2 and over.
