    NEWARK, OH – Stewart Allen “Al” Jones, 82, a retired grounds supervisor from Denison University, passed away August 27, 2014, at his residence. He was born February 20, 1932, in Orland, ME, to the late Relland and Eva (Nightingale) Jones.
    Al was an Army Veteran. He was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, and Denison Golf League. He coached Granville Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball.
    He is survived by his wife, Barbara C. (Boeh) Jones; children, Helen Brown of Jacksonville, FL, Mike (Susan) Jones of Newark, OH, and Raymond (Constance) Jones of Ravenna, OH; daughter-in-law, Gina Jones of Newark, OH; brother, Josh Jones of Mars Hill, ME; sisters, Patsy DeLong of Presque Isle, ME, and Hala (Walter) Ongley of Goodyear, Arizona; and 15 grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, James Jones; and brother, Gene Jones.
