Oakfield Senior Citizens held their meeting on Sept. 3 at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Clubhouse. With 18 members and 1 guest attending they first enjoyed the usual tasty potluck luncheon followed by a short business meeting led by Mr. Locke.
September birthdays were acknowledged. Mildred Gagnon won the 50/50. Reports by the secretary, treasurer and cards were all read and accepted. The Fall Trip was once again discussed and Oct. 4 was selected for the date. More info will be presented at the next meeting on Sept. 17.
The guest speaker was Diana Nadeau from RSVP, part of Aroostook Agency on Aging. She told of the need for volunteers for Friendly Visitor and Medical Transport programs at the agency. If you are able to help with these programs please get in touch with Diana at the Agency in Presque Isle.
