While Col. Kittinger was getting ready for his historic launch 30 years ago, Mark and Sandra Bouchard were getting ready to welcome their son to the world — but not before they witnessed the launch. Sandra went into labor at the launch site of the Rosie O’Grady Balloon of Peace. Suffice to say, whenever Col. Kittinger approaches a milestone anniversary of the voyage, Brandon celebrates his own birthday milestone.
