Oakfield Senior Citizens

The last meeting of September for the Oakfield Senior Citizens was held at the Smoki-Hauler Snowmobile Club on Sept. 17. With lots of visiting and chatting everyone enjoyed the time before the tasty potluck was ready.
The Seniors meet the first and third Wednesdays of each month so if you would like to get together for great food, visiting, some entertainment this is the place to be, everyone is welcome, call Delores Locke for more info 757-8478.

The winner of the 50/50 this week was Sharon Anderson. After the luncheon the business meeting was started with the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salute. All the usual reports were read and accepted.
September birthdays were acknowledged. There will be no meeting on Oct. 1, 2014.
On Oct. 8 we will be meeting at the Oakfield Community Center at 10:30 to go on our annual Fall Outing. Don’t be late.
There will be another Matter of Balance program starting on Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Snowmobile Club. This program is provided by The Aroostook Agency on Aging and Bonnie Pratt will be the instructor. This is a great program with lots of instruction and information for anyone especially those that have balance issues.
Get your Halloween costumes ready for our Oct. 15 meeting. Maybe you will be the winner of this contest!
