To the Editor,
There’s a new kitchen in town. As everyone probably knows I have been impressed by all the very good eating places in Houlton. Well, I’ve discovered another, Shelley’s. I had heard that there was a new restaurant in Market Square, but, even though I drove around the square several times, I didn’t see it. Finally, last week, I parked in front of North Country Gifts and started looking for a restaurant. There, under a dark maroon sign with black letters, was Shelley’s.
I went in. It was very pleasant, very neat, very clean. I ordered a chicken potpie to go, and picked it up the next day. It was absolutely delicious. It was stuffed with white chicken meat and lots of flavorful veggies. The crust was perfect. I never eat crusts, but I ate this one. Yum! The price was too low. That’s right, not too high, but too low. I loved it. This friendly little eating place needs to be on everyone’s list. They are open for lunch, too!
