FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Police in Fort Fairfield are asking the public to be on the lookout for a sex offender known to have connections in the community.
“The Fort Fairfield Police Department has been contacted by authorities from Spokane, Wash., and the Maine Sex Offender Registry in reference to a man identified as Darrell Baham. Currently there are several warrants for his arrest for failing to register as a sex offender. He has contacts in the Fort Fairfield area but he is not known to be here at this time. There is no cause for alarm,” said Chief Bill Campbell, on the FFPD’s Facebook page.
Campbell said the department has “no credible information that would lead us to believe that he is coming to this area.”

“We are posting this information as a precautionary measure. Information suggests that he may be living in the Southwest United States at this time. We are posting this picture and asking the public to keep an eye out for him. If he is spotted, give us a call here at the police department,” Campbell said.
The chief said the state of Washington would really like to have Baham back.
“And we would be more than happy to oblige,” said Campbell.
Baham is described as 5-foot 7-inches, 173 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He has un-described tattoos on his chest and both arms. Anyone with information about Baham or his whereabouts is asked to call the FFPD at 472-3808 or Aroostook County Crime Stoppers at 800-638-8477 (800-638-TIPS).
