HOULTON – Eileen W. (Feeney) O’Donnell, 85, wife of the late Donald O’Donnell Sr., went home to be with the Lord October 5, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was born April 20, 1929, In Johnville, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Donald and Sara (McAdams) Feeney.
Eileen was an avid Red Sox fan, she loved to go camping and knitting mittens for family and friends. She was a devoted Catholic, a loving wife, mother and a homemaker who was truly happiest with her kids, grand kids and great-grandkids surrounding her.
She is survived by her 13 children, Lucy Kennedy of Newport, Susan Tarbox (David) of Plymouth, Carl O’Donnell (Cindy) of Parkman, Philip O’Donnell of Plymouth, Greg O’Donnell (Peggy) of Brunswick, Wayne O’Donnell of Houlton, Andrew O’Donnell (Denise) of Orono, Avery O’Donnell (Tish) of Houlton, Ruth Ellis of Barrington, NH, Kelley Donahue (Thomas) of Hammond, Michelle Frient (Ron) of Ravenna, OH, Donald O’Donnell (Christine) of Houlton, Kim Nagle (Ken) of Bangor; 32 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; brother, Leo Feeney of Bath, New Brunswick; special niece, Susan Donahue and a special friend, Lynette Dobbs. Eileen was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Donald O’Donnell Sr.; 6 sisters; 3 brothers, a grandson and a son-in-law.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 8 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Mary’s of the Visitation with Father Dave Raymond officiating. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
