HOULTON & PRESQUE ISLE – Gerald B. Hare went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2014.
Gerald is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Raymond & Deanna Hare; a sister-in-law, Mary Anne Hare; and special nieces, Becky, Jennie and Annie; many cousins, friends and co-workers.
He was pre-deceased in death by his Mom and Dad, Marguerite “Emma” and Raymond Hare, Sr. and his loving brother, Michael Hare.
Gerald loved music, dancing, going to “day-program,” participating in Special Olympics and working at Andy’s IGA. He loved to tease the “girls” and always enjoyed a good time and family gatherings.
The family would like to thank the staff at HRH, as well as Dr. Older and Dr. Ryan, the staff at Harmony House where Gerald resided, and to Vicki and Steve Little for their many years of loving care. Gerald was loved by so many and will be remembered as a loving and happy man.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Dunn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Phelps from Mapleton Baptist presiding. A reception followed at the CLA Training Building in the TD Bank lot immediately following the service. Burial was at Henderson Cemetery on the Foxcroft Road.
