The Purple Hat ladies met in Smyrna at Brookside Inn for their Tuesday, Oct. 14 meeting. Leader Charlotte Marley was in attendance to greet the ladies.
The gathering was optional for Halloween costumes or go as you are. Donna Furrow won the Halloween costume for dressing as the “most shapely witch.” The blessing before the meal was offered by Wannetta Townsend of Houlton.
The ladies agreed to meet in Monticello at Blue Moose Restaurant in November. We will have another contest for the “most ugliest” sweater. Find your worst sweater and wear it to the meeting. Donna Furrow won the monthly drawing for the hat pin.
