Believe or not believe
To the editor:
Here we are again in the year 2014 at election time and we are hearing the politicians telling us if elected how they will change things to make life better for the people. They will fight to see that the bad situations will be changed.
However, I have to ask the question, what good comes out of a fight? And who are they going to fight? The big corporations and the powerful people who dictate how the country is run? I think instead of using the word ‘fight’ they should say they will try and persuade the members of the Senate and the House of Representatives to do what is best for the American people.
All the people are getting today are broken promises and things continue to remain the same or get worse. Do you believe things will get better in the future?
Now that we have heard what the politicians have said and continue to say, how they will make life better for us, compare what they have promised to what God said about the timeframe we live in today. Throughout the Bible God tells us of what life will be like as mankind continues on the path of self-destruction toward the end of time.
Throughout the Bible we read where God brought judgment on individuals and nations for their conduct and disobedience to God. He also tells us there is coming a day of judgment in the future. I, for one, believe that day is very near.
Compare what politicians have said and will be saying to what God has said and decide for yourself what the future holds for you.
