BU-CLR-Mountain-heights-dcx-pt-45RECOGNIZED — Mavis Smallwood, left, and Beth  Martin have been recognized for their contributions at Mountain Heights Health Care Facility in Patten.

Smallwood has been employed by Mountain Heights Health Care Facility for over 25 years and during this time has become a great resource and historian for the facility. Through her organization and dependability she has built a strong activities program that includes 40 plus volunteers.
“Mavis is a lovely person who is kind to us all and helpful.  Our activity program is very good.  She finds a lot of things for us to do to keep us interested”, said Dorothy Howard, a resident at Mt. Heights.
In addition to her recognition, North Country Associates recently presented Beth Martin, administrator, with the Administrator of The Year Award.
Martin has been employed by Mountain Heights Health Care Facility, for which North Country provides management services, for eight years. She started out as the social services director and through her dedication to the facility and residents became a perfect candidate for the administrator-in-training program. Since becoming a licensed nursing home administrator in 2010, she has worked diligently to ensure the highest quality of care for the residents, which has naturally led to the success of the facility.
