Take Off Pounds Sensibly, Chapter 0233 of Houlton, met for its Friday, October 31 meeting at the Aldergate building on High Street with 18 ladies weighing in, 3 of the 18 were KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly),
Leader Betty Wyman was present. Reports were given by secretary Cheryl Driscoll and Denise Clark, co-weight recorder. Loser of the week was Betty Wyman with Janette Nelson as runner-up. Cleo Joselyn won the skinny dish and the 50/50 drawing went to Diane Folsom.

Barbara Grant announced the winners of the Halloween contest: Cheryl Driscoll for TOPS and Lois Downing for KOPS. The contest ended with this Friday’s weigh-in. Lois Downing will have charge of the November contest.
Leader Betty read a newsletter from Angela J., a TOPS member from Lewiston, called “Journey to this Moment.”
The program was given by Barbara Whited with five foods to curb your hunger. Some of the foods were raspberries containing Vitamin C and potassium, and pistachio nuts plus eggs and lentils, and  beans. A voting revealed the place of the Christmas party, in December at Grammy’s Country Inn, with an exchange of gifts. If you need more information on the chapter, you may call Betty Ivey at 532-6593 or Charlotte Marley at 757-8483.
