    EASTON – Diane Lucille Holmes, 77, passed away on Monday morning, November 3, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Easton with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 29, 1937, in Easton, the daughter of Vaughn and Dorothy Nicholson. Diane was a faithful member of the Easton Pentecostal Church.
    She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Flewelling; her children, Wilfred Tompkins and his wife, Christy, Roxanne Hafford and her husband, David, all of Easton, Ricky Tompkins and his wife, Robin of Carmel, Jeff Tompkins of Easton, and Galen Holmes and his wife, Debbie of Mars Hill; a step-daughter, Janice Rines and her husband, Dennis of Newburgh; a step-son, William Holmes and his partner, Jacqueline Staples of Pittsfield; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Galen Holmes; her parents; a granddaughter, Trudy Tompkins; a sister, Donnie Wiles; and a brother, Owen Nicholson.
    A graveside service for family and friends will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton, with Pastor Merritt Durost officiating.
