MARS HILL – Wileta Fern Bell, 85, passed away peacefully November 14, 2014, at her residence. She was born on December 21, 1928, in Presque Isle, the daughter of the late Charles and Doris Nason.
Wileta graduated from Ashland High School. She also graduated from the United Pentecostal Bible Institute of Marysville, N.B.
Wileta married the late Malcolm Bell on July 19, 1952. She worked at Indian Head Plywood, McCain’s, and happily served others as a CNA before retiring. Her passion was attending services at the United Pentecostal Church in Mars Hill as well as the Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and various other crafts.
She is lovingly survived by her sister, Marie McCausland of Feeding Hills, MA; and her sister-in-law, Grace Nason of Lewiston; along with many nieces, nephews, grand- nieces and nephews. Wileta is fondly remembered by friends and fellow parishioners.
She was predeceased by her son, Alton, who was her shining star; her two brothers, Malcolm and Paul Nason; and her sister, Joyce Hatheway.
The family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to Arlene and Darci for their love and care for Wileta.
