Potato Pest Management Conference scheduled
PRESQUE ISLE — The 2014 Potato Pest Management Conference will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center.
Five pesticide recertification credits and seven Certified Crop Advisor IPM credits will be available.
The program will feature information on potato virus Y, aphids, use and selection of adjuvants, potato wart in PEI, potato bruise information, and storage management and research updates from the University of Maine and the United States Department of Agriculture/Agricultural Research Service.
A $15 fee will be charged to cover the cost of room rental and refreshments.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the conference running from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Lunch is on your own.
