Grange Hall news

The Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society held its board of directors meeting, as well as its last monthly meeting of the year, Thursday, Oct. 30. Pizza was supplied and ideas were shared.
Topics at the meetings included how to raise money next year to help keep the hall operating for future functions, and how to acquire the funds necessary to get the downstairs floor fixed to keep animals out of the building.
Among the fund-raising ideas were a trash and treasure sale, a hunters’ supper, a silent auction and pie social. In order to accomplish these things, the Society will need the help from the community. More members are needed to join.
Tickets are still on sale for the gift basket drawing, with a value of over $300. Tickets can be purchased from any member and will be sold at the Aroostook Centre Mall Saturday, Nov. 29 when the winner will be drawn that day.
Candy bars will also be sold again this year! Look for them after Christmas in several local businesses and from any Society member.
