AARON’S, the nation’s premier retailer of furniture, consumer electronics and home appliances provided via sales and lease ownership, will be opening in a few weeks at 10 Davis St. in Presque Isle.
Officials with the store are no strangers to retail sales, having dozens of stores in several states.
“We are the largest franchise in the Aaron’s system (SEI/Aaron’s Inc.), with 103 stores in 10 states. Aaron’s is the nation’s premier retailer of furniture, consumer electronics and home appliances provided via sales and lease ownership,” said Tennyson Cox, Aaron’s director of operational support.
SEI/Aaron’s is a value-based organization that opened its first store in 1995 and since then has grown to 103 stores, according to Cox.
“The Presque Isle store will be our 12th store opened in the state of Maine. SEI/Aaron’s is most proud of the achievements of our over 850 associates and our relationships with the 90,000 customers that choose to shop with us. We are always on the hunt for talented individuals to join our winning team,” Cox said.
Limited market availability for the products Aaron’s offers factored into the decision to set up shop in the Star City.
“Because of Presque Isle’s location, there are only so many choices for consumers as far as shopping. Aaron’s flexible programs offer something for everyone. Consumers can take advantage of Aaron’s 120 days same-as-cash program, as well as the lease-ownership option,” said Cox. “With a non-credit checklist, it gives people the ability to get the household items they need and want with the flexibility of monthly payments,” said Cox.
SEI/Aaron’s will operate the new location, with Alec Pacheco serving as general manager of the 6,000 square foot facility. Cox said the store will “initially employ seven associates.”
“The store plans on opening in late December, in time for Christmas,” said Cox.
Hours of operation will be: Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fore more information, call 554-2123, email F1325@aarons.com, visit www.sieaarons.com or www.aarons.com. A Facebook page will also be established, once the store is open.
