CARIBOU – Anita A. Burby, 85, died November 30 , 2014, at a Presque Isle nursing facility. She was born in Caribou on November 15, 1929, the daughter of Dennis and June Rose (Devoe) Jalbert.
Anita was a partner in J.B. Mobile Homes in Caribou for many years and also ran Burby’s Ceramics. She enjoyed playing cards, music, line dancing and crafts. She was a loving and devoted mother to her three children.
She is survived by her two sons, Raymond and his wife, JoAnn, of Caribou, and Thomas and his wife, Victoria, of Bangor; one daughter, Laura McPherson and her husband, Randy, of Mapleton; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Jalbert and his wife, Pat, of Florida, and Fred Jalbert of Caribou; one sister, Annette Wrenn of Conn. Also, a special friend, Jim Passon of Caribou.
Mrs. Burby was predeceased by her husband, Vetal Burby Jr. in 1988, and four brothers and three sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2014, at 1 p.m., from the Faye Funeral Home chapel, 5 Erskine St., Presque Isle, with Fr. Ray Morency, Officiating.
