On Nov. 17, Scott and Lorna Harris of Patten visited Katahdin Elementary School in Stacyville. They shared their experiences with the Wreaths Across America Project. Each wreath costs $15 so KES held a pajamas, hat and gum day to raise money to sponsor at least 10 wreaths.
KES staff and families surpassed that goal by raising enough money to sponsor 49 wreaths. Everyone is invited to join us at Katahdin Elementary on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m. for a Christmas concert featuring grades K-3.
The grades 3-5 chorus will also be entertaining those in attendance. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
KES is currently in the middle of our Holiday Food Drive. Food will be accepted until Dec. 19. All food will be taken to the local food cupboard in the Sherman Town Office building. The goal is to collect 500 pounds of any and all non-perishable food items.
