ISLAND FALLS AND HOULTON – Elinor Schenk, 91, died December 1, 2014, in Patten. She was born May 18, 1923, in Island Falls, the daughter of Edwina (Berry) Lord and William Wentworth Lord.
She is survived by her five children, Bill Schenk and his wife, Carol, of FL and Island Falls, Richard Schenk of San Francisco, Geraldine Smith and her husband, Bob, of Houlton, Allen Schenk and his wife, Jeanie, of Island Falls; Frederick Schenk and his wife, Sharon, of Singers Glenn, VA; several grand, and great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Kathy and Maryanne. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl; a son, Daniel Robert; her parents; and sister, Marion Mosses.
Friends called 1:30 – 2 p.m. Thursday, December 4 at the Island Falls United Baptist Church where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ben Greene officiating. Spring interment will be in the Island Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Island Falls United Baptist Church, P.O. Box 6, Island Falls, ME 04747.
