CARIBOU — Two new members of the Aroostook County Tourism Board of Directors were welcomed at the group’s Dec. 4 meeting at the Northern Maine Development Commision. Jane Torres of Houlton and Joe LaChance of Madawaska were selected to serve.
Torres is the director of the Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce and LaChance is the founder of the Madawaska Four Corners Park.
With contributions from area businesses and organizations, ACT purchased two pages of advertising in the Maine Invites You magazine, the official tourism publication for Maine, according to Jon Gulliver, ACT coordinator.
Gulliver reminded members that ACT had committed to exhibit at three trade shows during the winter and spring of 2015, including the New England Fishing and Outdoor Expo in February, the Hartland Trade Show in April and the Maine RV and Camping Show in Augusta in May.
