Although TAMC acknowledges all of its employees are VIPs, those with over 20 years of service are given the designation V.I.P. — Veterans-In-Partnership. The impressive gathering of TAMC’s most tenured is celebrated at a breakfast each December.
Ten employees were welcomed to the V.I.P. ranks, bringing to 164 the total number of TAMC employees currently in the program, which is about 16 percent of the non-profit health care organization’s workforce.
The 10 employees who most recently reached the 20-year milestone of service are: Christine Quirion of Presque Isle, a nurse from the emergency department; Scott Cyr of Fort Fairfield, a paramedic from Crown Emergency Services; Susan Gilson of Presque Isle, a project manager with medical group administration; Dr. Jay Reynolds of Fort Fairfield, chief medical office/chief clinical officer; Lynn Turnbull of New Sweden, director of education and chaplaincy services; Kimberly Cooper of Odell, NB, a nurse from the day surgery unit; Mark Bourgoin of Limestone, security and project manager; Tina Ward of Presque Isle, a nurse in Aroostook Cancer Care; Cynthia Craig of Masardis, a billing technician in patient accounts; and Robert Mackinnon of Presque Isle, from anesthesia services.
“We are very fortunate as an organization to have such talented and dedicated employees who have spent either their entire career — or a good portion of their career — with us,” said Joseph Siddiqui, vice president of human resources. “These team members have contributed to our growth and have helped mentor many employees over the years.”
Also recognized during the breakfast as longstanding members of the V.I.P. club were six employees who have been with TAMC for 40 or more years: Cheryl Flannery of Fort Fairfield, who works in coding; Eugene Curtis of Presque Isle, director of support services; Cynthia Chalou of Mapleton, a nurse at TAMC Family Practice and Internal Medicine; Donna Dean of Mapleton, manager of coding; Cinda Patten of Presque Isle, a respiratory therapist technician; and Carole Wilson of Presque Isle, a nurse in Aroostook Cancer Care.
