Presque Isle to host Pokémon City Championships

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) players, their supporters, and Pokémon fans from Presque Isle and surrounding communities are invited to attend the 2014-15 Pokémon City Championships Saturday, Dec. 20 in the Star City.

Players from three age divisions will compete at Eagle Hill Stamps & Coins, located at 351 Main St., to earn valuable championship points that count toward a potential invitation to compete at the 2015 Pokémon World Championships next summer. Players of all ages and skill levels in good standing are encouraged to participate in the open, family-friendly event that serves as a great opportunity for new players to compete in premiere events for the first time.
There is a $10 admission for masters division players only; all others are free. The event will be held all day, and registration will be from 11 a.m.-noon.
