Bell, Laura M., 61, December 6, 2014. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today at 11 a.m. from the Parish of hte Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou, followed by a memorial gathering at the VFW Hall, Caribou.
CARIBOU – Laura M. Bell, 61, beloved wife of 41 years to Thomas P. Bell, died peacefully, Saturday, December 6, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born on December 9, 1952 in Caribou.
Laura graduated from Caribou High School in 1971. She and Tom resided in Caribou, where they raised their family. Laura was a Medical Lab Technician for many years at Cary Medical Center, before having to give up her career due to her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Laura was a member of SILC (Statewide Independent Living Council). She also served many years on the Caribou School Board. Laura loved knitting, gardening, camping, and spending time with family.
In addition to husband Tom, Laura is survived by her parents, Arthur and Joan Michaud; two children, Joshua Bell and wife, Erin, Emily Stewart and husband, Fred; six grand-children, Connor Bell, Annie Faucher, Abby Bell, Liam Bell, Laura Stewart, and Freddy Stewart; two sisters, Trudy Wilcox and husband, Randy, Tracy Powers and husband, John; three brothers, Arnold Michaud and wife, Gayla, Gary Michaud and wife, Lori, Kevin Michaud and wife, Stacey; along with many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 17 at 11 a.m. from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Caribou, with the Reverend Kyle L. Doustou officiating. A memorial gathering will be held immediately following the Mass at the VFW Hall in Caribou.
