Joseph Maynard Theriault

    THERIAULT, Joseph Maynard, 87, HAMPTON, NH & ASHLAND, ME, at Hampton, December 19, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 24, in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. Arrangements are under the care of the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton, NH. 

    HAMPTON, NH & ASHLAND, ME – Joseph Maynard Theriault, 87, of Hampton, died Friday, December 19, 2014, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, NH. 
    He was born in Ashland, ME, December 21, 1926, a son of the late Angus N. and Elizabeth (Jimmo) Theriault.
    Mr. Theriault retired as a Boatswain’s Mate First Class Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy in 1969 with 22 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. His second career was with the USM Bailey Corp. in Seabrook for 13 years as a foreman until 1990 and the next five years he worked at the fueling depot at the Pease Air Force Base in Newington.
    He was a member of the Jenkins-LeBlanc VFW Post 9699 of Ashland, ME.
    He shared 61 years of marriage with his wife, Elizabeth M. (Corey) Theriault.
    In addition to his wife, family members include two sons, Daryl R. Theriault and his wife, Linda, of Eliot, ME, Dennis R. Theriault of Hampton, NH; two grandchildren, Nathan and Tonya; two great-grandsons, Aiden and Damien; three sisters, Olean Martin of Ashland, ME, Mary Merrill of Guilford, ME, Alice Bander of Putney, VT; nieces and nephews.
    Visiting hours were from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2014, in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
