HOULTON — Katahdin Trust senior vice president of retail services, Bonnie Foster, has announced the promotion of Patty Hersey to vice president, business development officer.

Hersey will be responsible for business development for small business, commercial and non-profit entities in the northern Penobscot and Aroostook County market area.

Hersey has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry. She joined the bank as electronic banking clerk in 1999 and has been promoted several times during her tenure: supervisor of deposit operations in 2002, operations officer in 2006, corporate services officer in 2007 and assistant vice president and corporate services officer in 2009.
She attended Houlton High School and attained her supervisory leadership certificate from University of Maine at Orono. She also has received several diplomas from the Northern New England Center for Financial Training in general and advanced financial services, commercial lending, banking and finance and bank operations and is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking in Durham, N.H.
Active in the local community, Hersey has volunteered for the Junior Achievement Program and has served as a committee member of Houlton High School Music Boosters and Out of the Darkness Community Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She resides in Houlton with her husband Wendell and has three children; Nicholas, Mariah and Ian.
