    CARIBOU – Oscar Green passed away December 30, 2014, after a brief illness at Belen Meadows Nursing Home in Belen, NM. He was born in Bowdoinham on April 24, 1927 the son of the late  Roy and Rosetta (Brown) Green.
    He moved to Caribou as a young boy and was educated in Caribou Schools. Mr. Green served with the U.S. Army during WW II, stationed in Germany. Oscar was a hard worker as a stationary engineer for the Northern Maine Potato Industry for 45 years. He retired from McCains in 1992.
    Mr. Green was a life member of VFW, a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also lifetime 4th degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Knights of Columbus Council 1870. He enjoyed many recreation activities, including skiing with his family over many years.
    In 1943, he married Doris (Cyr) Green and she predeceased him in 2006. Oscar was also predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Betty Gorney in 1999. He is survived by five children, Roy and wife, Jeanne (Chapman) Green of Presque Isle, Linda Green of Plainville, CT, Jean Green Wagner of Belen, NM, Nancy Green Vincent and husband, Roger, of Davenport, FL, Phillip Green of Springfield, MA; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered by good friends, Dave and Marie Wilcox, Pit and Christine Theriault, and Ken and Elsie Doody of Caribou.
    Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Belen Meadows Nursing Home, 1831 Camino Del Llano, Belen, NM 87002.
