It’s the thought that counts

To the editor:
Thank you Mr. Mailman for doing such a great job delivering our mail throughout the years.

Today you delivered to us a single sheet, very thin of what I guess at one time might have been a Christmas card which was only the front part of the envelope by the time it reached my home. It was addressed correctly and was postmarked from San Bernadino, CA dated December 23, 2014 at 6 p.m.
It leaves me wondering if it was really a Christmas card and if there was a gift card or check or photo or what might have been in the other part of what I guess started out as an envelope that got disconnected. Mr. Mailman could you please check your bag when you get a chance and see if the rest of whatever was once connected to this sheet of 6- by 4-inch piece of paper might be in it? Knowing how great our mailman is here, it is probably still in San Bernadino. I have no doubt it came as he received it.
