Health Services Foundation plans 14th Annual Diamond Raffle

HOULTON, Maine — For the past 13 years, the Health Services Foundation has raffled off diamond gifts as part of a major fund-raising campaign. This year, the Foundation has big plans for its 14th annual event, which also coincides with Valentine’s Day

“Considerable thought was put into what the Foundation would be doing this year as we hold the last five diamonds ever to be had from Goodrich Jewelry and wanted to be sure everyone had a chance at winning one,” Elizabeth Dulin, Foundation executive director. “With that thought in mind, it was decided that we would spread out the last five pieces over the entire fiscal year, with the last one being offered sometime in September. We may possibly include one in upcoming events such as our annual Charity Auction, the County Open, and other ideas for ways to help the Foundation in its efforts to support local health care services and one more chance for someone to win something beautiful.”
For the first diamond event the following are being offered:
• First prize — 3-Stone Princess Cut 14kt yellow gold half-carat diamond ring valued at $2,995.
• Second prize — An iPad Air 32GB with Trollbeads Fantasy Fairy necklace and White Diamond bead.
• Third prize — An iPad Mini 32GB with retina display and a tower of Uncle Willy’s chocolates
Tickets are $20 each with the drawing being held Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. at The Horn Restaurant.
“We have the most amazing communities here in ‘The County’ that continue to support Foundation fund-raising efforts with constant generosity to help their health care providers provide the very best for them,” Dulin said. “We hope everyone will feel a slight touch of nostalgia for these last pieces from Goodrich Jewelry and help us go over the top in ticket sales. Tickets for this first diamond event are very limited. We never forget all the amazing giving and support for all we do as that is what  ‘Makes it All Happen.’”
Tickets may be purchased at the Foundation Office located on the first floor of Houlton Regional Hospital, or by calling (207) 521-2503 for credit card sales. Checks may be mailed to the Health Services Foundation, PO Box 1231 Houlton, ME 04730.
