LIMESTONE – Carolyn M. (Johndro) Brooker, 63, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 10, 2015, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born July 27, 1951, in Caribou, the daughter of William and Mary (McCarthy) Johndro.
Mrs. Brooker enjoyed spending time outdoors and collecting angels. She worked as a Personal Service Assistant for many years and touched the lives of many of her patients.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 33 years, Vincent Brooker of Limestone are two step-sons, Gene Brooker and his wife, Darci, of Limestone, and Eric Brooker and wife, Dawn, of N.B., Canada; two daughters, Cathy Pelkey and friend, Mike Burress, of Limestone, and Michelle Pelkey and friend, Scott Bryant, of Limestone; and a close family friend who Carolyn raised, Erica McPherson and Tim Thibodeau of Caswell; five grandchildren, Ryan Burress, Courtney Chartier, Joshua Chartier, Brayden Thibodeau and Martin Brooker; one brother, Bruce Johndro; three sisters, Christy Johndro, Cindy Russell and Susie Smith; and brother in-law, Jim Haney.
She was predeceased by her sister, Carla Haney; and two brothers, Stephen and Kenneth Johndro; several nieces and nephews and in-law family members.
Friends may call Thursday, January 15, from 6-8 p.m., at Faye Funeral Home, Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 16, 2015, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Interment will take place in the spring.
