Emera Maine employees voted to give this $1,000 donation to Catholic Charities as one of the company’s “charities of choice.”

“We’re grateful to receive these funds, which will be used in our continuing effort to feed those less fortunate in Aroostook County,” said Shaw.
The donation was part of the company’s annual effort to help others, with employees having a say in where the money would go.
“This year Emera Maine decided to do something fun and different for holiday contributions by the company. We allowed our employees to choose organizations they would like to support. Each company facility was provided an opportunity to vote for a local organization they would like to see receive a donation this holiday season. The employees at our Presque Isle Operations Center voted to designate their donation to Catholic Charities Maine Food Bank,” said Bob Potts, communications specialist with Emera Maine.
Potts expressed gratitude for Shaw and her efforts to help others.
“Congratulations, and thank you for all you do in support of families who utilize the services provided by Catholic Charities’ food bank. We are grateful for your dedication to those in need in your community,” Potts said.
