     PELKEY, Russell S., 51, PRESQUE ISLE & MARS HILL, at Presque Isle, January 20, 2015. There will be a Celebration of Life in his honor on January 31, at 1 p.m. at the Fish and Game Club, Presque Isle. Arrangements are under the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield. 

    PRESQUE ISLE & MARS HILL – Russell S. Pelkey, 51, passed away Tuesday morning, January 20, 2015, at his Presque Isle residence. He was born in Hartford, CT on September 13, 1963, the son of Gary L. “Peanut” Sr. and Lois J. (Kilcollins) Pelkey. 
    Russell was raised in Mars Hill where he attended local schools. He served in the Maine National Guard from 1981 to 2001 with four years of active service.
    Russell loved listening to Aerosmith and watching the Dallas Cowboys football games. His favorite words were “How ‘bout them Cowboys!”
    In addition to his parents, Russell was predeceased by one brother, Cecil L. Pelkey. He is survived by his son, Matthew S. Pelkey and his wife, Kelsey, of Old Town; one sister, Denise J. Bonato and her husband, Richard, of Presque Isle; two brothers, Gary L. “Bucky” Pelkey Jr. of Presque Isle, Thomas M. Pelkey of Mapleton; his grand-mother, Frances Kilcollins of Mars Hill; one sister-in-law, Cathy S. Pelkey of Myrtle Beach, SC; one special cousin, Gail Cova of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews.
    There will be a celebration of life in Russell’s honor on January 31, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Fish and Game Club, Parsons Road, Presque Isle.
