PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A fundraiser will be held at Wintergreen Arts Center, 149 State St., on Thursday, Feb. 12.

“We’re hosting a Paint & Sip with Tim Gagnon from 6:30-8:30 p.m. It will be an amazing evening of appetizers, paint and the expertise of an accomplished local artist,” said Rowena Forbes, center director.
Forbes said no artistic experience or talent is necessary, just the desire to have fun.
“Attend solo or bring a friend and save,” she said.
All art materials and food are included in the registration fee: $80 per person or $140 per couple.
“Approximately 80 percent of the funds taken in through ticket sales will go directly to the center. The proceeds will go toward supporting the center’s multiple regular programs, including Toddler In Time, Mini Monet and the After School Arts Program,” said Forbes.
She said seating is limited to 30 participants. More events like this could be possible, depending how this one goes.
“If this particular event is well received, there is discussion of offering more of this type of adult event in the future. Our signature events, such as the Artful Egg at the end of March, the Spooktacular and the Polar Express, are always on the calendar,” said Forbes.
“In addition, we will be partnering with UMPI again for the third Color Presque Isle 5K on Aug. 22,” said Forbes. “We are always open to suggestions from the community.”
