STOCKHOLM – Beatrice C. Page, 97, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, at a Van Buren Nursing Home. Beatrice was born in Stockholm on June 7, 1917, the daughter of John and Anna (Larson) Sjostedt.
Bea was a faithful member for many years of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stockholm. She was a foundering member of the Perkins-Plourde American Legion Auxiliary Unit 136, loved taking care of her family, gardening both vegetables and flowers. She was also an avid outdoors woman who loved snowshoeing and cross country skiing. While in her eighties, Bea still enjoyed skiing from Stockholm to Madawaska Lake.
Bea is survived by her children and their spouses, Rodney and Paulette of Bend, OR, Jon and Terry of Crestview, FL, Jeffrey and Kristi (Anne) of Stockholm; her brother, Richard Sjostedt; her grandchildren, Joel Page, Joy Page, Jay Page, Jonathan Page, Tiffany Watson and Jamie Page. She will also be missed by many greatgrandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bea was predeceased by her husband, Guy Page; her siblings, Carl, Verner, Melford, Reynold, Andrew, Hilmer, Eleanor Vedt, Vivian Elizabeth and Elsie Marie Haley.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Borderview Rehab and Living Center, High View Manor and Cary Medical Center for all the wonderful care and kindness shown and given to Bea.
