SPRAGUE, Doris Mae (Schriver), 93, MARS HILL, February 4, 2015. Interment will be held in the spring at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Mars Hill.
MARS HILL – Doris Mae (Schriver) Sprague, 93, wife of the late Cecil Woodrow Sprague, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at The Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Doris and her twin brother, Donald, were born on July 12, 1921, in Fielding, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Douglas Charles and Lila Mae (Bell) Schriver.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Viola Bailey and husband, Ron, and family of Missouri; stepdaughter, Judy Crawford and husband, Robert, and family of Bangor; stepson, Gary Caldwell and wife, Ganor, and family of Nova Scotia; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Schriver and family of Texas; daughter-in-law, Myrna Sprague and family of Dyer Brook; sister, Dora Elkins of Gordonsville, N.B.; twin brother, Donald of Greenfield, N.B.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and her husband, Doris was predeceased by her son, Roy Kenneth; stepson, Frederick Sprague; siblings, Mamaree Bradstreet, George, Wilford, Kenneth Schriver; half-brother, Roland Schriver; and half-sister, Eva Hood.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at The Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill, for the wonderful care and kindness shown and given to our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt during her stay. Thank you also to special family members who made numerous visits during her stay.
Friends and family called 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Interment will be held in the spring at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton.
