Cooper Madore had two goals and two assists to lead Presque Isle past Hampden Academy, 5-4, in overtime Saturday. Craig Schiff scored the game-winner 1:50 into overtime, with Reece McDougall getting the assist. McDougall also had a goal as did Joe Patenaude. Alex Michaud picked up three assists for the Wildcats, who improved to 4-10-1.
Dylan Cray had a goal and two assists for Hampden while Marc Thibodeau, Tyler Trice and Marcus Dunn scored the other goals.
Jillian Flynn faced 34 shots for PI, while Cole Benner faced 23 for Hampden.
The previous night, Presque Isle traveled to Brewer and fell 7-2. Brewer received three goals each from Gabe Valley and Dylan Severance. Zachary Duncan scored the Witches’ other goal.
Presque Isle’s goals were scored by Colin Daigle, who registered his first high school goal, and Schiff. McDougall and Michaud picked up assists.
Flynn and Kyle Plourde shared the goaltending duties for the Wildcats and faced a total of 40 shots. Tyler Friel faced 20 shots for Brewer.
